B.A/L.L.B. (Queensland), L.L.M (London) Lloyd has been a lawyer specialising in entertainment Law since 1971, having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, University of Queensland and Master of Laws, University of London. He has also been the Assistant Editor (Consumer Affairs) CCH Ontario, Canada, Assistant Executive Officer (Legal), Australian Film Development Corporation and Australian Film Commission and General Manager (Business Affairs), and acting director of New South Wales Film Corporation and a director of the South Australian Film Corporation. In 1979 he entered private practice setting up his own firm specialising in Entertainment Law. From 1979-81 he was the Legal consultant to the New South Wales Film Corporation. Since 1981he has acted continually for Film Finances Inc., one of the worlds leading Completion Guarantors of film. Over the many years he has practiced he has prepared a large number of Registered Film Prospectuses on films designed for international distribution, together with giving advice to and representing producers, writers and directors. Lloyd has now shifted some of his focus and energy into the related intellectual property and commercial law provinces of Technology Law. L.L.B. (UTS), L.L.M (UNSW) Russell has been a practicing lawyer in the area of entertainment law since 2003 and lectures at UNSW and UTS in subjects such as Information Technology Law and Law and Legal Practice. Russell graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology, Sydney and with a Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales. Previously, Russell worked at AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute). Australia’s premier provider of online legal information and data, AustLII is a non-profit institution dedicated to improving the accessibility of the legal system. His work included teaching (as an Associate Lecturer in Law at UTS), research into applying technology to law and legal practice and systems development for AustLII.
